However those who can’t their children attend the English summer camps organized in Spain itself. These camps offer an easy opportunity to ESL teachers for earning money on short term employment.

Schools in Spain also recruit ESL teachers and the job scenario is promising.

• There are many opportunities teaching English in almost every Eastern European country including Spain and job offers are usually open to EU and non-EU nationals equally.

• To teach in Spain you need a four-year college degree in any discipline.

• The ESL teachers must complete 120 hours TEFL training course.

• It is helpful to have a working knowledge of the Spanish language , not essential

• Salary: Negotiable with school. In Europe salaries are decided between applicant and school and are determined by experience and qualification.

• In Spain there are many English teachers in summer. As attending English summer camps is very popular among Spanish youngsters. It provides teachers with a month or two of steady employment with free accommodation and meals.

• Teachers can save at least 1000 € per month while in camp, providing them with time and money to look for better employment.

• You can find English summer camp teaching positions on the internet between March – June

• Summer camps usually pay a salary of between 900 € - 2000 € per month, depending on experience and responsibilities of the teacher, and will cover most of or all of your transportation costs to and from the camp. Expect to spend about 50 € per week on snacks and drinks as the camp food might not be too exciting.

• ESL teachers can also branch off into English teaching related positions in other fields. For example, a teacher can conduct conversation classes over the phone.

• Teachers can do voice-overs for commercials or go into web development.
