TESOL Certification Course in Cebu, Philippines

The capital of the island of Cebu is Cebu City and considered to be one of the oldest cities of Philippines especially the Colon street.

Age has not turned Cebu slow and stagnant; it has much to offer in the entertainment arena. It is densely populated and has many resorts. The city is pretty upscale with all modern amenities and good infrastructure.

Doing a TEFL International onsite course at Cebu is an opportunity to explore the coral island and its interesting locale. You can visit the nearby surroundings like Bohol or the dark chocolaty hills, Mactan islands from Cebu.

Tourist Attractions
Besides the grand Visayas resort you can enjoy other tourist spots at Cebu, like the Magellan's Cross, a wooden cross supposedly planted by Magellan himself. It was done some 450 years ago to honor the spread of Christianity after Rajah Humabon and his wife Juana converted to Christianity with 800 followers. The original cross is now sheathed in tindalo wood
You should visit Fort San Pedro, the oldest and smallest fort built in 1565 by Spanish conquistador Miguel Lopez de Legazpi.
Mactan Island is popular among water sports fanatics and one can do just about any water sport activity from diving to snorkeling in the coral reef.

Another must visit site is the Olango Wildlife Sanctuary where the biggest concentration of migratory birds is located. It is just the place for ornithologists.

If you seek action then enroll in eskrima or arnis a traditional Philippines martial art form. It is a type of stick fighting and gaining popularity.

The city offers varied urban entertainments as well. One can play golf, go bowling or dance the night away at the discos. That is if you are tired of the sun kissed sand beaches where one simply counts waves and relaxes.

Transport
The best way to get around Cebu is by taxi, most of which are metered and traveling by them is not expensive. Keep change as drivers may not carry any and a small tip wins you an admirer.

Weather
Cebu’s climate though tropical is kept pleasant by the sea breeze that blow in from the Pacific.
The average temperature during the day is usually from 26°C to 38°C. At night, it is lower; the hottest months being March and April.

The coolest season is from October to February. And it is the best time to visit Cebu.
