Australia is a good place for newly trained teachers to gain English teaching experience. The English language is in demand in Australia, and so are good teachers of English.

Although Australia has recently had serious economic problems, it is still a wonderful place to teach English, and is now a very inexpensive destination.

Native speaking and TEFL qualified English language teachers are in high demand in Australia and should be able to find a teaching position in Buenos Aires and other large cities fairly quickly.

Accommodation is very much affordable outside the major cities of Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.
Transportation is also not very expensive and the country air service and rail service is good.

Australia is the land of many cultures and nationals. It is important to be sensitive to the cultures and traditions of the different races and communities that populate the major cities of Australia.

The ESL teachers’ pay is sufficient to maintain a decent standard of living. But it is good to budget. It is smart to restrict eating out and better to avail public transport.
The working holiday visa scheme of Australia makes it stand apart from other native English teaching destinations. It allows 18 - 30 year olds to stay for up to one year, work and earn money as a TEFL teacher.

You are required to change jobs after a maximum of 6 months, but the TEFL job market is geared up for this, and schools generally welcome the refreshing input from teachers who only stay for a short time.

The best thing is that if you have already used up your once in your life chance for the working holiday visa, you can join a college course, and learn a new vocational skill. You may be paying a lot for the course but you can earn the money by teaching English 20 hours a week. This makes Australia a great place to work as an ESL teacher.

The students are eager learners and the work load is quite manageable.
Australia offers many outdoor sports and whoever is fond of horse riding, bungee jumping, surfing, parasailing, and rafting on the white waters of the inland rivers; Australia is the place for them.

People interested in history of an ancient tribe – the aborigines can experience it up-close and personal in Australian outback.

Australia is cricket mad nation and one can watch and participate in the game. Australian cricket team is renowned.

• In Australia the seasons are reverse to those in the northern hemisphere.
• The high summer months are from December to February,
• The main winter months are from June to August. Even the coldest winter months has at least 6 hours of sun shine every day. Christmas in Australia is in the middle of the high summer months, parties and celebrations last until the New Year.
• Springtime traditionally begins in September, bringing with it festivals and shows.
